Tips To Get The Perfect Fit In A Bra With Halter Top
Halter tops are available in many different lengths and styles, but the main aspect is the straps that go around the neck and meet to either tie or are sewn together there. They may be of varying lengths from a crop top to a dress, and with different necklines and shapes. Due to the shape of the halter, it can be difficult to find a bra that is both comfortable and flexible enough to fit with this type of shirt.
Strapless Bras
A strapless bra is one of the alternatives that will work best with a halter top. It is important to ensure that it has the added elastic and material that goes along the top and the bottom of the bra to hold it in place. These come in two choices, those that are whole and are put on over the head, and those that have a regular hook and loop closure on the back or even in the front.
It will fit tighter than a regular bra in an attempt to keep it in place even as the wearer moves around throughout the day. These are well suited to many situations though they can be difficult to fit well and keep in place.
Adjustable Bras
Adjustable bras are those that can be worn in many different ways. They come with detachable straps that have a hook on the end that will attach to cloth loops on the bra itself, and they do this in many different ways. An adaptable bra can be worn in several different ways; strapless, straps crossing in the back, one strap on that either crosses to the other side or goes from the front to the back on the same side, or halter. Each of these ways to wear them work with a different style of top and they are versatile enough for all different styles of shirts.
When selecting how to wear the bra with the shirt that has been chosen, use the straps to follow the straps that are on the shirt. A shirt that has no straps, or very thin straps, can be best suited with the straps of the bra removed, a shirt that has a t-back may need the bra straps to cross in the back. A halter-style shirt is best worn with the bra straps connected at the back, behind the neck, just as the halter top is, or by loosening one strap all the way and connecting it to the front of the bra on each side to follow the line of the halter.
Bra Alternatives
If these are not suitable, there are alternatives to a bra that can work with a halter top. There is a type of bra that is simply two cups that are made with a sticky surface and are placed under then cup up and over the breast to support it from beneath. These can include a push-up and a boost to create a larger size, or they can be a thin material like a sticker that blends easily and simply offers support. Body tape can also be used to tape under the breast and be built to cover the bottom and up as high as is preferred by the wearer, creating a bra of tape.
